My first visit to Ravinia Park was in 1983 as a spectator. My second visit to Ravinia Park was as a performer … an unforgettable experience!

We were in Chicago with the Dale Warland Singers. We had not one, but two, gigs at Ravinia Park. Between rehearsals, we were wandering the grounds of the park and came face to face with this flower bed of Cosmos and friends. A perfect complement to the fantastic music that can be heard in this, the summer home of the Chicago Symphony. We were fortunate to be on stage with them for the Choral Fantasy and the Beethoven Ninth. A few days later we presented the Rachmaninoff Vespers in the Martin Theatre. Precious memories.
